The Microsystem Technology group is focused on the development of sophisticated electronic and sensor/actuator hybrid systems. Our work involves VLSI design (both analogue mixed signal and digital), the development of control and data handling algorithms for implementation in an MST, sensor design and novel rf components.
The work is predominantly collaborative, working with engineers, biotechnologists, medics, vets and computer scientists at several other universities in the United Kingdom and overseas. We are also supported by a number of leading multinational companies.
