Summary
The source of non-linearities in SC and SI filter networks are:
(a) SC networks
switch
- signal dependent
- clock feedthrough
capacitance
opamp
- finite slew-rate
- output voltage saturation
(b) SI networks
switch
- charge injection
- clock feedthrough
capacitance
transconductance
transistor slew-rate
General switch non-linearities require:
- full device models
- time consuming simulation
Remaining non-linearities are monotonic:
- modelled by piecewise linear equations
- only few piecewise linear segments needed
SCNAPDIS currently features:
The software will provide non-linear analysis for:
- Monotonic nonlinearities
- Opamp saturation
- Opamp slew-rate
- Other characteristic described in piecewise mode
