The source of non-linearities in SC and SI filter networks are:

(a) SC networks

switch

• signal dependent
• clock feedthrough

opamp

• finite slew-rate
• output voltage saturation

(b) SI networks

switch

• charge injection
• clock feedthrough

transconductance

transistor slew-rate

General switch non-linearities require:

• full device models
• time consuming simulation

Remaining non-linearities are monotonic:

• modelled by piecewise linear equations
• only few piecewise linear segments needed

SCNAPDIS currently features:

The software will provide non-linear analysis for:

• Monotonic nonlinearities
  • Opamp saturation

  • Opamp slew-rate

  • Other characteristic described in piecewise mode
