IBM SUR Grant

Professor Asenov and the Device Modelling Group at Glasgow have been awarded a Shared University Research (SUR) Grant from IBM.

The research topic to be pursued in conjunction IBM Fellow Robert Dennard and a team from the Process Modelling and Integration Division at IBM T. J. Watson Research Center led by Robert J. Miller is: "Intrinsic Fluctuations in Decanano Silicon Devices: Impact on Scaling, Device Architecture, and Circuit Performance".

To facilitate the collaborative research, IBM will donate a 32 node IBM pSeries 640. Technical support in configuring the system has been provided by Andy Knox from IBM, Greenock.
